Healthy Utah Community

Get Healthy Utah is excited to partner with the Utah League of Cities and Towns to support Healthy Utah Community, a new designation program for cities and towns. This designation recognizes communities across Utah that do an exemplary job of implementing evidence-based strategies to improve community health.

  • Price City is the county seat of Carbon County. As part of its goal to energize its downtown area, Price is providing opportunities for its residents to get outside and get active. In addition to creating green spaces and artistic murals, Price is in the process of adding bike lanes throughout the city, including Main Street. The city also ensures that all residents have access to healthy food by establishing a community garden and food bank, accepting SNAP benefits at its farmers market, and partnering with USU Extension to offer cooking and gardening classes.
