Get Healthy Utah is excited to partner with the Utah League of Cities and Towns to support Healthy Utah Community, a new designation program for cities and towns. This designation recognizes communities across Utah that do an exemplary job of implementing evidence-based strategies to improve community health.

  • Monroe has made healthy living fun in their community! The city offers low cost community sports programs and is currently installing pickleball courts. To improve access to healthy food, the city offers a bimonthly farmers market along with a food truck rally to support local businesses.

    Monroe has made mental health an especially important priority for the community. The city installed a second medication drop box, handed out free gun locks to citizen, and also beautified an outdoor area area for recreation, which promotes both active living and social connection. Moving forward, the city plans to further promote mental health resources through local law enforcement and the local high school.
