School Health Policies
Get Healthy Utah has partnered with several other organizations to help create policies that promote health in Utah schools. We know that it is important for children to be able to learn in healthy environments.
In 2017, Get Healthy Utah partnered with the Utah State Board of Education on the 7th and 8th grade physical education rule change. That same year, Get Healthy Utah worked with the Utah PTA on their Non-Food Reward Policy. Get Healthy Utah also helped pass a new Utah childcare licensing requirement for licensed child care centers to provide physical activity for children daily.
In 2018, Get Healthy Utah worked with Utah Action for Healthy Kids and USBE to promote healthy recess guidelines.
